Cut & Straightened Wire

Our straightening and cutting capabilities at California Fine Wire Co. include the ability to provide precision products that meet the most stringent industry standards. We produce custom wire products for customers in the medical, aerospace, defense, and electronics industries as well as specialized products used in a wide array of research and development applications. Custom wire can be produced in any number of alloys including resistance wire and precious metals. While spooled wire can be straightened to further refine the tolerances for precision applications, straightening is most often performed in conjunction with a cut-to-length process. Cut wire is available in lengths between 0.125″ and 72″, and in a wide range of production volumes from small samples used in research and development to large scale production. Cut ends may be deburred, chamfered, or finished with a radius as needed, depending on the application.

Cut lengths of wire can be packaged into tubing or boxes, depending on what is most convenient for the customer. We can perform a range of material tests, including evaluation of the tensile strength of the wire, and label packages accordingly. Wire is available in diameters between 10 microns and 1.0 mm and with a variety of ceramic, polymer, and PTFE coatings.
